The Miss Lyndonville Diner is always a great restaurant with many delicious items to choose from. Not only that but they are quick and have great service. They have very good prices on their food and don’t raise the prices. There are many different items on the menu, such as the Vermonter, and many other burgers and sandwiches. They have dinners such as spaghetti and meatballs, steak and shrimp, yankee pot roast, sweet sausage sub and many seafood options as well such as haddock, clam and scallops. Breakfast is served all day which is very convenient.There are many breakfast items such as omelettes, pancakes, eggs, and bacon.  They have many desserts to end off your dinner such as banana cream pie, cheesecake, hot fudge sundae ice cream cake and many other delicious desserts.Their hours are from 5:30 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Thursday and Friday and Saturday from 5:30 a.m.-9 p.m. and on Sunday they are open from 7 a.m.-8 p.m.Diner

Burke Mountian

Burke Mountain with an elevation of 3,270 ft.is a popular mountain in the area for those who love to ski, hike, snowboard and bike.Part of it is located in Caledonia County but the Southeast part is located in Essex County. The watershed connected is the Passumpsic River and the southeast side drains into the Weir Mill Brook, Bog Brook and the Moose River.In the wintertime people can go snowmobiling through the Kingdom Trails. In the summer people can bike, hike, go hang gliding, parasailing, golfing, swimming, climbing, horseback riding,canoeing, kayaking and fishing. It was purchased by the Jay Peak owners at the Jay Peak Resort. Burke Mountain is located in East Burke and you can see it from Lyndon and Lyndonville on the northwest side.Burk

Gold Crown Lanes

Gold Crown Lanes is another exciting place to go especially if you really enjoy a good bowling game. Gold Crown Lanes has 16 lanes of 10 pin bowling for anyone to have a great time. They offer a lamplighter lounge and sports bar, an arcade, flat screen TV’s, and a  snack bar. The bowling alley has hosted birthday parties as well.Lyndon State College is having a bowling night sometime during this semester hosted by CAB with a night of bowling until midnight. The cost  is four dollars per game and two dollars for shoe rental. Their hours of operation are Monday’s from 1:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Tuesday’s and Thursday’s from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., Wednesday’s from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., Fridays from noon to midnight, Saturday’s from 11 a.m. to midnight and Sundays from Noon to 11:00 p.m.They are located in St. Johnsbury down the road from Price Chopper.Bowl

Pizza Man

If you ever would to grab some delicious pizza while in Lyndonville.  The Pizza Man is the right place for you.  The Pizza Man is one of the best pizza places around and they have specials every week so you can save money. As a broke college student you could afford to save a bucks every now and then.  The Pizza Man has many delicious items on the menu including fries, fried dough bites, salads, pasta of many kinds, chicken wings of many flavors including ,honey barbeque and buffalo, chicken fingers, calzone rolls of many sorts of flavors and of course pizza which is the best. Fenton Chester Arena

The Fenton Chester Arena is a great place to go to if you love to ice skate or if you love to watch hockey games. The Fenton Chester Arena is a great place to watch your favorite Hornet’s hockey players play against other colleges. The Fenton Chester Arena also has high school hockey teams such as Lyndon Institute, St. Johnsbury Academy, Danville School and many other local high schools play against one another as well. It can be a great way to spend your night or Saturday afternoon if you ever are interested in catching a hockey game. This past Wednesday night from 9:30 p.m. to 11 p.m., Lyndon State College had its annual free skating for any student that wanted to get away from homework. The college had a very good turnout, and many students very much enjoyed skating as they were gliding across the ice. The Arena also has different times on Saturdays and Sundays where people can free skate. The Arena is located across the street from the Lyndon Institute on College Road in Lyndonville.
