Anti-Valentines Day Show Preview

The Lyndon State College’s Music and Entertainment Industry Students Association (MEISA) will be hosting a show Friday, February 12 to raise money for Greggfest.

Greggfest is an annual two-day music festival in honor of Jake Gregg.

The theme of the show is anti-valentine’s day and will include the bands Destructive Nature, Suburban Samurai and Jack Is Dead.

Destructive Nature is a deathcore band based out of Rutland, Vermont.

The band members knew Jake Gregg and said “It was really a no brainer to get us on the show.”

Destructive Nature will have their newest EP for sale and said of the event, “If you like loud and heavy deathcore it’s the place to be.”

Suburban Samurai is a melodic punk rock band from Burlington, Vermont.

Members commented on the event saying, “Students should realize what an incredible investment of time and commitment Greggfest is and that by attending this event, you’re supporting your fellow students, the program, and the continued efforts of all MBI students present and future.”

Jack Is Dead is a band based out of Lyndonville, Vermont. They are a doom punk band that describes themselves as, “Just a bunch of hardcore kids playing hardcore tunes.”

The show costs $5 and will be at Parker Pie in West Glover, VT. The doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the show will start at 8 p.m.
