Lyndon State College has opened a testing center for Intuit and Adobe products.
The public testing center, which is the first of its kind in the state of Vermont, now allows people to take certification exams without having to travel out of state.
Certiport, which has partnered with Lyndon State College, is the leading provider of “value-added, computerized test delivery services that include an expanding network of testing centers worldwide,” according to their website.
The new partnership can help Vermonters in the future by having access to a technology-driven learning and workforce environment. The center is designed to teach people new skills to advance their careers via online, classroom based, and hybrid programs.
Students can also benefit from this new partnership by getting their certification and degree simultaneously.
“This is a key element of Lyndon’s total education strategy,” Interim President Atkins said in an article from the College on August 5. “We prepare students during the critical years of induction into their profession and support professionals throughout their career to address the demands of evolving workplaces and fields.”
The testing center is being paired with two of Lyndon’s new professional offerings. Lyndon’s American Hotel and Lodging Education Institute certification programs now have an on-campus location for testing.
The center will complement the college’s Center for Professional Studies and is planned to open in September.
